Every year, thousands of people flock to Old Town Square in Prague to get a glimpse of the Astronomical Clock, one of the finest examples of its kind still around in Europe. Located on the south wall of Prague’s Town Hall, the Astronomical Clock has an equally colourful history to match its colourful facade. For decades the RMS Queen Mary cruise liner—also known as “the Grey Ghost”—transported passengers across wartime waters as a transport ship and luxury liner. During her waterway passages she carried seasick sailors, destitute stowaways and wealthy vacationers.
