Running along the West MacDonnell Ranges, the Larapinta trail is truly not for the faint hearted. As you set foot on one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world, prepare to have your breath taken away. Perfect for adventurous-spirited travelers, hikers and campers alike, trekking here will take you to some of Australia's most scenic attractions. The rugged Larapinta trails extend over 223 kilometers and include stops at the magnificent Alice Springs, Simpsons Gap, Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen.
The Larapinta trail has many different stunning types of scenery of landscape and body of water which are perfect for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. The sceneries are just too wonderful that it looked like a ripped page from a national geographic magazine – only better. There are many notable attractions in the trail. Some of these include one of the biggest rivers in central Australia which is the Finkle River. Another one is the West McDonnell ranges which perfectly serve as backdrop of the entire trail in the Northern Territory of the Larapinta trail.
